Project Description:

Redevelopment of redundant agricultural buildings to provide 4 large, prestigious residential properties at Sturton Grange, Alnwick.

Works required full design, specification and tendering services including the successful procurement of Planning and Building Control applications. Works were procured through a cost plus contract following 2 stage tendering and negotiations with the preferred contractors. Tims Morris Ltd provided full contract administration, certification and surveyors certificates for the project works.

The project required the appointment and co-ordination of numerous other specialists, including structural engineers, ecological and environmental specialists, geotechnical specialists and mechanical and electrical consultants.

The works also required close liaison with the Environment Agency in respect of Flood Risk assessments, mitigation measures and Ecological Appraisals.

In April 2008 Tims Morris Ltd were awarded the Northern Region, Local Authority Building Control (LABC) Award for Best Housing or Residential Project 2+ Units for works on this project.
