Stock condition surveys
Stock condition surveys provide an audit and report upon the condition of larger scale building portfolios and are therefore typically carried out for local authorities, housing associations, registered social landlords and other clients who own or manage substantial property portfolios. Stock condition surveys may be carried out as part of a pre-acquisition process or a planned preventative maintenance regime to facilitate strategic analysis and cost planning of the property assets.
Schedules of condition are a means of capturing and recording the condition of a property at a specific point in time. These surveys are usually prepared in a relatively brief, easily assimilated schedule format, generally accompanied by a comprehensive photographic schedule. Schedules of condition are often used as a record of the condition of a property and appended to leases or party wall awards and are also completed prior to works being carried out adjacent or close to the properties concerned.
